So yesterday Phinneus recieved his first official piece of mail! Yup, good 'ol Uncle Sam sent him his official membership card. That's right, the all important social security card. It's all over now baby blue, you're an official part of some government spreadsheet & database! Welcome my son, welcome to the machine! Here are some long overdue pictures. I have more & will post them as soon as I can! It's hard trying to get the pics from the phones & camara onto the computer. My phone sucks so bad I have to email them to maggie (the only email address that works w/ the phone) & then email them from her work email to my email, then save them so I can post.... Maggies phone downloads its pictures only sometimes... sometimes it works... sometimes it doesn't... The digital camara only works with Maggies desktop, not mine & I can't figure out how to get them into my pictures so I can only post those pics from her desktop.... All this while trying to feed, change & comfort a 3week old.... or .75 month old since the status quo in baby lingo is to refer to age in months.....
So Phinneus is still waging battle against the foul & evil forces of "the gas".... He's very placid until "the gas" starts churning & gurgling his little tummy... Then, he gets PISSED off (awe-uhff). He has more gas than PSE&G (NJ gas utility) sometimes. Definately not as bad as when he was on the other formuler though. Now he usually is only upset right after a feeding. He has "wind" as this english lady on a baby video refers to it... Sometimes he's windier than a hurricane! I gotta tell yous though, he's like a new kid after a dumpsky.. It's like a huge relief for him. I wish he'd evacuate more than he does... In fact he doesn't really go but once every day or two... Hopefully that will change... Wait, am I actually wishing for more dirty diapers??
This is our first go around with the whole baby thing. So I have to ask you people that have done this baby thing already... Is it normal to get a burp real easy after some feedings & after other feddings getting none? I mean none! And not for a lack of trying! Lemme know, aight!?!
So I was driving home from Home Depot yesterday, listening to the Yankees post game show on the radio. Susan Waldman was doing the clubhouse report & informed us all that Bobby Murcer lost his fight against brain cancer. John Sterling (the Yanks radio play by play guy) almost couldn't complete the broadcast. Now Bobby Murcer's playing career pre dates me. He retired in '83, I was 7 years old. But the day after he retired as a player, he became a broadcaster for the Yanks. So, for as long as I can remember Bobby Murcer was one of the voices that brought the game from the field into the living room. I guess he'll be up there with his old channel 11 partner Phil Rizzuto calling the games in heaven...
Peace

yes i remember the month vs. week thing with the newborns. it's ok to say 3 weeks but after that he's a month. when he gets to 11 months, you have to say almost a year. when he is 13 months...he just turned 1. none of that 15 month crap. at 18 months, he's a year and a half. so, in my mind. after the 11th month you go to years and half years. follow me? nothing more annoying than a parent saying their kid is 13 months...TO ME!
I hear these broads talking about their 20 month old babies.... Dude, c'mawn... the kids almost 2 YEARS old..... F*ck the extended month system!!! F*ck it!
oh word on the month bs, everyone says it. Silly! Sounds like Phinneus has his daddy's tummy:(
