Countdown.....

Yeah, so we're on countdown 'till vacation! In exactly a month we'll be in Delaware! We really need this break! Well, this past weekend Master P went to a really cool concert with us! The venue had a big lawn & we were able to set up our blanket by a picnic table & jam out! He had a good time watching the band & all the hippies dancing! I got to see the new Yankee Stadium as they kicked off the 2nd half against Detroit. It's great new stadium. I like the views, it's missing some of the charm of the old place, but i guess that's just cuz its different..... Then Sunday we dropped Phinneus w/ Grandma & hit the theater for the newsest Harry Potter! It was great! Phinneus started walking this weekend. He took some steps by himself & even used the stroller for support & took off running in the borders book store!! Good times, good times!!!!!! So now I'm just waiting for my car to get fixed.... other than that I got nuttin!

Bummer Dude....

So, I'm stopped at a red light..... Mindin' my own business...... Listening to some sports radio...... When all of a sudden "BAM!".... I'm hit from behind........ my feet fly off the pedals, every compartment opens, spilling manuals & CD's everywhere....... my glasses wind up in the back seat.... & my beloved Toyoter is propelled into the SUV in front of me... "CRUNCH!".... as my car recoils from the impact the guy who initially struck me decides that once wasn't good enough & hits me again..... sending me once more into the SUV in front of me..... After my grassroots six flags ride was over... I checked to see if my pants were dry..... They were! So I exited the vehicle to access the damage..... The guy who hit me staggers outta the car.... & starts looking at my bumper in a state of dissorientation..... He has the onions to ask me "what happened"!!!! I said "you hit me!"...... He says "I know but what happened".... I said "Guy, You HIT ME!!!!" He goes "all of a sudded you stopped"..... I said "it's a red light, & I'VE BEEN STOPPED FOR ABOUT HALF A MINUTE!!!!!" The dude was acting "odd, high, impaired".... I figured, this guy's loaded...... But he didn't smell of booze.... Then I saw the handicaped sticker on his car..... & noticed he had a cane..... & it came to me.... Too many pain meds...... & the guy nodded out...... He actually had no recollection of hitting me..... But he worked for the government & the cops let him go..... What the f*ck??? Oh well, Thank Bernard & Larry King that nobody got hurt!

Well, I guess it's time to finish Harry Potter........ We rented the last 2 movies so we are fresh and caught up for the new one.......

Baptism & 1st Bday Party

At lawng last heres the pictures from the christening & 1st birthday party. I'da had'em up sooner but I had the bronchitus & Both Maggie & Master P got sick. I know.... No 'scuses.... Anywho, enjoy the pics & rave....

So it's been super crazy busy lartely..... And tragic.... and wonderful all together...

Adding to our normal crazy work/family life we had to deal with the unbelievable loss of a friend just 5 days after she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.... so after trying to help the family, the wake & the funeral last week was totally exhausting... Added to that we were trying to prepair for Master P's Birthday/Baptism party... Lord have mercy has the past few days been tiring!!

So we had the baptism yesterday. Gigi & Papa Ken were in the heezy for the celebration. My whole Long Island crew represented & The Smith's, the Fabro's and a few of my buddys were in the hizouse too! And of course Amy too!!!!!! I think we had enough food....:

fried turkey w/ cranberry ginger & apple chutney, flank steak w/ chimichurri sauce, sausage and peppers, bratts (braised in beer & onions & finnished on the grill, potato salad, pasta salad, white bean & fennel salad... tomato salad, carolina slaw, bread salad, asparagus, roasted veggy antipasto........ wine... beer, iced tea, lemmon-aide..... & of course cake & cawfee!!!! I flexed my kitchen muscle!!

We were blown away by the generosity of everyone.... too too kind!! Master P was great all day. Nothin but smiles all day! He was the star of the show & everyone got a chance to hang out with him!

It poured rain all day, so we couldnt use the yard.... but we did give the new porch a good breakin in!! it worked out awesome! right down to the beer railing we designed! Well I gots to go, when we get the pics I'll get 'em up!

Well, master P can motor around pretty good! He pulls himself up all the time & stands up if there's something to hold on to. I think he'll walk pretty soon...... Its been a middle class nightmare over here lately....... all we do is work work work and see no money for it.... oh well, somebody had to serve the rich man and pay for the poor man..... guess thats our deal..... anywho.... enjoy the pictures... i gotta get some sleep....
